There is no second thought to the fact that we Jaipurites love taking pictures and selfies with the majestic sunset at Nahargarh fort, the most happening place of Jaipur.
However, if observed clearly, our favorite place is equally littered with garbage, plastic and even empty alcohol bottles thrown away randomly.
World Economic Forum - Global Shapers Jaipur team and keeptripping' powered by Jaipur Marathon took the responsibility of making Nahargarh breath yet again. This team was also recently engaged with Contree Foundation painting the walls of the city and making it cleaner, working on the concept of "The Ugly Indian, Bangalore".

Right from V0 to Nahargarh Fort (as seen in image below), there was littering throughout the stretch of 10kms. The volunteers were positioned throughout this stretch at various identified viewpoint spots viz. V1-V6 and other potential loacations. These viewpoints are the major locations where most wastage is cluttered and needed maximum attention.
This project was a great opportunity for all Jaipurites to come together for a noble cause and spread awareness.
- Schools ,colleges, organizations, clubs and social activists could showed their love and support by volunteering the clean drive with great enthusiasm.
- Corporates contributed to this fundamental cause by endorsing monetary and non-monetary resources to the project as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility.
Eventually, this drive was a great success! A whopping 2000 kg waste was collected: A kick Start to Clean Nahargarh Project!
Its high time that we join in and plan more such initiatives and ensure to keep our city clean and green.
