Balloon Safari over Amber Fort, Jaipur

Amer Fort is undoubtedly the best tourist spot in Jaipur that attracts travelers across the globe. This palace is constructed using marble and red sandstone and is a virtual poem in stone that tells a story of a glorious past. Amer Fort offers a nice view from front and even the intricate designs inside are amazing, but thats too mainstream? How about a view from the heavens, a view from the sky, a bird's eye view of the grand Amber Fort? Thrilling enough? Sky Waltz Balloon Safari is the thing we are talking about.  Former Homeland Security & Counterterrorism Advisor to President Bush '03-'08, @CBSNews Sr National Security Analyst '16 - , EVP MacAndrews & Forbes '10-present  Frances Townsend was in Jaipur recently.  Frances took her experience to social media and shared the moments on Twitter. She thoroughly enjoyed the Balloon Safari over Amber Fort and was spellbound with the spectacular view this journey offered. Below is the picture

Offbeat activities in Jaipur

Hello there ! Visiting ZEE JLF? Here are our few recommendations to do while you enjoy your stay in Jaipur - The 'must see' monuments  If visiting Jaipur for the first time, do not miss out on the likes of Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Jal Mahal etc, that we are sure are already there in your itinerary. These are official tourist spots for a reason and will no doubt blow your mind with the supreme architecture and design. Gaitore ki Chhatriyaan One of the most romantic places in Jaipur, these cenotaphs will give you a flavor of Rajasthani architecture at its best. The tombs are designed intricately and beautifully and will give you multiple photo opportunities. Gadh Ganesh Right next to the Gatore Chhatriyan, this is a Ganesh Temple located atop a hill that takes upto half n hour (or more) to reach the top. Might be tiring but trust us the view from above is totally worth it. Padao at Nahargarh Albeit a bit expensive, the view from

Clean Nahargarh Project

There is no second thought to the fact that we Jaipurites love taking pictures and selfies with the majestic sunset at Nahargarh fort, the most happening place of Jaipur. However, if observed clearly, our favorite place is equally littered with garbage, plastic and even empty alcohol bottles thrown away randomly. Fact File: Jaipur got poorly ranked with 215th position in the Swachh Survekshan 2017, the All-India  survey on sanitation.  World Economic Forum - Global Shapers   Jaipur  team  and keeptripping' powered by Jaipur Marathon took the responsibility of making Nahargarh breath yet again.  This team was also recently engaged with  Contree Foundation  painting the walls of the city and making it cleaner, working on the concept of " The Ugly Indian, Bangalore ". Facebook event link was -  https://www.facebook. com/events/155422758516239/ Right from V0 to Nahargarh Fort (as seen in image below), there was littering throughout the stretch of 10kms. T

"Wo Kata", Jaipur style

~WOO KAATAA !!! If this sound sounds familiar to you, you know what we are talking about. And if it does not , you need to be in Jaipur on Sakrat, i.e. 14th January. Though celebrated in most parts of India as Makar Sakranti, Pongal etc, we bet the most fun you'll have is in Jaipur city. When the sky is loaded with zillions of kites of all sizes and colors (and even shapes now), when the terraces are full with people of all age and gender, when the kitchen is busy with preparation of sweets of all kinds and style, that festival is Sakrat. Undoubtedly, every Jaipurite's favorite festival ! The preparations of this festival is already in full swing, with city streets loaded with shops selling kites, saddha and manjha. Families are planning the delicacies they will make on the festival, and also whom all to invite on this special day. Jaipurites living outside have already planned their travel, for this festival they cannot miss. Kids have started purchasing and looting

Sahu Ki Chai, ho jaye !

In  every city, there are a few old iconic eating points that are not as luxurious as a 5 star hotel, not even close, but still offers a taste that none can compete. Sahu Ki Chai is such a place in Jaipur. A small tapri with minimal underground seating and no fancy decor whatsoever, this place still attracts a crowd much more than today's 'happening cafes'. Situated in the heart of the city in Chaura Rasta, close to Golechha Cinema, this tea tapri offers tea with a unique cardamon taste that makes it so famous. Couple your tea with Mathri, Fan and biscuits and you cannot stop at just 1 cup. Oh we forgot to mention, tea is served in Kulhads too and it tastes heavenly indeed ! The story behind Sahu's famous tea is that he mixes Bhang in it that makes you feel tipsy and relaxed. Grab a cup of your own to find out if it is true ! Location: Opposite Sai Baba Mandir, near Golechha Cinema, Chaura Rasta, Jaipur. Cost: Tea in Glass cup : 15 Rs Tea in Ku
